Sketchbook must contain sketches and research, those are separate daily grades.
Print Advertisement Project
For this project, we will focus on the design aspect. There will be 3 components to this project. 1)research 2)print format 3)create. We will design an advertisement for a product of your choice. Choose a product you are familiar with and research it. Study your product and learn as much as you can about it. Pick a print format to advertise it. Create it. When focusing on design, your ideas matter most. Use your creativity and research to come up with an idea you can successfully make. Think of “catch phrases”, logos, typography, as well as the “layout” of your design. What goes on your print and where will it go on the page. When you research, look at as many different ads that you can to help lead you in the direction you wish to go. Find an idea and make it better, or create an idea from your head. Research, think, make.
Research
What is the product? Who sells it? Who owns the patent? Who buys it?(or who is it for?) How much does it cost? How much has it made over the course of its time on the market? Be as specific as you can, the more specific, the better the project, the better the grade!
Print Format
In what way do you want to advertise? Examples of print advertisements include: Billboards, flyers, posters, book/pamphlet covers, 2D electronic ads. Choose a way that you can successfully achieve with the resources you have available.
Create
After you have chosen your product and your format complete these steps.
Step one: Sketch out your ideas (Save sketches to turn in)
Step two: From your ideas, pick your most successful one
Sketch out a full page rough (Save rough to turn in)
Step three: Create final advertisement
