2009-2010 Yearbook

Yearbooks will be sold on the NHS campus before/ after school and during lunches on March 25, 26, 29, 30 and 31. Email Mrs. Shalley with any questions: shalleys@navasotaisd.org

FAFSA Assistance Nights
 
The NHS Counseling Department is sponsoring THREE nights for senior parents to get assistance in completing the FAFSA Application. We will have financial aid experts from Sam Houston State University, Texas A&M and Blinn College available to help enter the information online and answer any questions. These nights are open to anyone, no matter what college or university they are planning to attend. These experts are here to help NHS students and their families.

Texas A&M representatives will be attending this session and bilingual services will be available.

Be sure to bring your FAFSA Pin Number (one for the student and one for a parent), and your completed IRS 1040. You do not need to have filed your 1040, but you will need information from the first page.

After Prom Party
 
The After Prom Party needs parent and community volunteers to help with this safe alternative party for our students after the prom. If you can help in some way, please contact Yolanda Fultz at yolandalawrence@hotmail.com.
 
The next After Prom Party meeting is Monday, February 15th at 6:00 PM in the NHS Library.
 
The NHS After Prom Party Committee is planning a fundraiser for February 27th at Wal-Mart from 8AM-1PM. There will be a BBQ & Bake Sale. Please go by and support this fundraiser for our students.

From the Principal

Happy New Year!  Here's hoping each of you will be richly blessed in 2010.
 
What an exciting time it is at NHS!  Our girl's basketball team is rated #1 in the state in 3A.  They continue to rack up the wins.  Our boys basketball team is also off to a good start.  Soccer season is beginning.  UIL academic teams are forming, AND new on-line dual credit opportunities are being offered free of charge to students for the spring semester.
 
We are excited to have so many different programs to provide for our students.
