Four Navasota senior students committed to play college football and received scholarships for their outstanding performance as students and as football players.

“I am very excited for our kids, they put in a lot of time and effort for the last four years,” Fedora said. “For them to be awarded and being able to go continue their education through football is just outstanding.”

Antron Harris, Brandal Jackson, Dexter Pratt, and Jacolby Stokes all accepted scholarships to play college football.

Navasota running back Dexter Pratt, who graduated early this year, already attends Oklahoma State University after backing out of his longtime commitment to Louisiana State University.

Wide Receiver Brandal Jackson, who plans to attend Texas A&M University, earned first-team honors on the Texas Sports Writers Association and Collin Street Bakery’s 58th Annual Class 3A all-state football team.

Jacolby Stokes, led by the pass-and-catch combination of Brandal Jackson, threw for 2,390 yards and 24 touchdowns during the school football season and looks up to attend Kilgore University.

Antron Harris signed with Blinn College.

Coach Lee Fedora, who was a wide receiver for A&M Consolidated Tigers, got nominated as Coach of the Year on The Eagle’s 33 Annual All-Brazos Valley Football Team, which makes Fedora the second person, and the second this school calendar year, to make the team as the Coach of the Year after having been selected as a player.
