The Rattler girls basketball team is
trying to follow up a historic
season, replacing old faces with
new ones but still carrying the
same expectations. The girls lost
two games in the Rattler
Shootout classic to fall to 9-3 on
the young season, dropping a home game for the first time since Dec. 5, 2003 - 64 games ago. For the boys, the season got off to a bit later start but the Rattlers have won their first three games in beginning their follow up to two straight district championship season. Tuesday, Navasota beat Coldspring 66-53 with Brandal Jackson and Jersey Gates leading the way with 18 points. Both teams compete in tournament play this weekend in Sealy.
