“Tom Martin Hughes is an eighteen-year-old from Jersey in the British Isles who has been passionate about active citizenship & charity work for over a decade. Tom has also been a dedicated volunteer of St John Ambulance, a UK Medical Charity and has provided thousands of hours of public service to his community. Tom has worked with Government in the United Kingdom & Jersey to ensure First Aid is part of the National Curriculum; he has also raised thousands of pounds for charities to ensure they can continue their vital work. Tom has received recognition for his work from Former British Prime Minister, Theresa May as well as Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II & The Diana Award, a legacy charity to the Late Diana, Princess of Wales. Tom has also been able to partner with various brands such as Gucci and Apple as a result of his work”



“Tom will be visiting Navasota, Texas, from Monday 28th October – Wednesday 30th October to speak to local students about active-citizenship and share his story about the power of volunteering. Tom will also be meeting with local emergency service workers and speaking at a City Council Meeting. Tom is very much looking forward to visiting the city and meeting its residents”.
