2017 Skills USA Results

Navasota is a part of the Texas District 7 in Skills USA, now one of the largest Districts in Texas, with over 1600 kids competing in a variety of job skill related competitions over the 3 day event. 

Though Navasota was one of the smallest schools competing, with a large majority being 5A or 6A schools, NHS had several students who placed in the onsite contests. Jackie Salazar earned 3rd place in photography, Saul Diosdado placed 2nd in computer programming, Erica Barrios placed 3rd in Employment Application Process, & Jose Almanza, Jose Coronilla, Alexis Coronilla, & Austin Collins placed 4th in Entrepreneurship. There are also 30 Navasota students who advanced to state through Photography and AV project submissions.
